First Moments with Peter - Video

5 Days Old
Peter is now 5 days old and has met or beaten all the numbers by which they gauge a babies health, which ultimately will determine when he goes home. He had a hearing test today and past with flying colors. He's never had to undergo any special meds or even no lights for jaundice. We are so happy with his progress and hope to have him home soon. Here are pictures of him at 5 days old, enjoy!
Peter's Miracle Story
I know this is long, but you've got to read every part for it to make sense:Jen had been meeting her perinatologist every monday at 10am to monitor the progress of our baby son. Peter Paul Wharff arrives into this world February 22, 2010 (four 2's in his b-day 2/22/2010) at 7:23 pm, weighing in at 4 pounds 14 ounces and 17 inches long. There's a longer story regarding how Peter came into our life which I will post later, but for now here are some more pictures.

It was really really cool to be able to see our son 3-dimensionally. Unfortunately because of his position and other stuff in the way, it was hard to get a really good picture, but this is pretty amazing technology to say the least! Jen says that he has my nose, but what's for sure is that he's turning out to be one dang cutie pie.

Currently measuring 14 weeks!I busted out my iPhone to do some video and immediately the nurse said that I couldn't because of "legal reasons". That always makes me sick, that at times like this, a joyous occasion, because of others bad choices, we are punished. Oh well! At lease we got pictures afterward. What was really cool is that this baby was REALLY REALLY moving around a lot and liked to extend

This week, we have had a few changes to the Wharff household. We are sad to say that we have lost a member of our family team...Jen's car, the black Honda Accord EX ('04) was lost in a car accident that took place on Tuesday afternoon around 5:15. It ended up that Jen and Kaylene were involved in a three car pile-up on 78th street, (Right outside of Carol's Corner Cafe, Mom). The police and EMT's arrived
Golden's baby arrives: Garrett Golden
Our good friends Josh and Glenda Golden had their new baby boy today. His name is Garrett Jennings Golden. 7 lbs 1 oz, 19 inches long born 2:22 PM PST. That makes the score: Golden's 4 - Wharff's 1. Make sure to check out their website later on for more pictures.
